Structured Baseball-Style Caps
Most baseball-style caps are "structured" which means they have a rigid structured designed to make the cap sit above your head. It's almost impossible to comfortably wear your Hard Hat over a structured baseball cap because of this design. Either way you will crush and ruin your baseball cap in the process.
Metal Button Stud on Top
The metal stud/button you see on top of most others caps becomes an obstruction when wearing a Hard Hat over the top. The overlapping protection straps on the inside of your Hard Hat press directly onto to that button/stud and pushes the metal into your head...ouch.
Thick, Heavy Fabric
Thick cotton and wool based fabrics are too hot to work outdoors in most of the time. These heavier fabrics also hold a lot of dust and dirt and are incredibly difficult to wash or rinse clean without destroying the way the caps looks.
Trucker-Style Mesh-Back Caps
Whilst trucker (mesh-back) caps provide ventilation they are often structured (see above) and have a button stud on top. Any ventilation Trucker-Style Caps provide also offer your head no direct protection from the sun.

Is this a safety cap or bump cap?
Is this a safety cap or bump cap?
This cap offers NO IMPACT PROTECTION! This is not a Bump Cap so please do not buy this cap if you think it's a safety accessory. It is not. It offers the same amount of impact protection as any normal cap (zero). If something falls from a decent height and hits you in the head it's not going to help you - but then again neither will your hard hat lets be honest ;)

GRAFT Work Cap is made from Polyester and Cotton. This keeps the cap light, means it dries really quickly and wicks moisture off your head.
How do you wash it?

We've designed this hat to be rinse-friendly so you can easily wash any dirt or sweat off by simply rinsing under a cold tap and then hanging up to dry. The cap will dry completely within an hour in a warm climate. We don't recommend machine washing your cap, hand washing is the way to go.

This cap fits most head sizes and is easily adjustable. If your head is any bigger than a size 8 cap and/or 63cm in diameter you might find it too small. In which case can you please email Stu directly on stuart@graftwear.com.au and let him know you're interested in a larger sized cap.

No you don't. This is a great work cap regardless of whether you wear a hard hat over the top or not. Many guys use it as a running/gym cap as well. It's great for any sort of physical work.

We use Australia Post Regular & Express for AUS deliveries Australia Wide. So 2-5 days for Regular and 1-2 day for Express.

For sure - some of the broad brim hard hats have a small peak but more sun protection at the back. The Graft Work Cap gives added protection to the front of the hard hat so it's perfect to wear under a broad brim hard hat as well as a standard hard hat.
